Daily Work:
Students are expected to come to class ready to work with a good attitude and a focus on learning.
Start of Class:
It is to be done as soon as a student enters the room. It will be written or projected on the front board.
Homework:
Students have homework in Spanish EVERY NIGHT! Students will be given a few minutes at the end of each class to begin their homework in case there are any questions. Homework is checked at the beginning of each class and is worth 10% of their average.
Absences:
Students are expected to check the “What’d I Miss?” files located in the rear of classroom to collect classwork and/or homework that was assigned during their absence. They will have one week to turn in any missed work.
Students needing to make up quizzes/tests must make arrangements to do so during extended learning or after school. Students may not make up missing work during Spanish class.
Late assignments:
Students are expected to turn in all assignments on time, BUT, if a student turns an assignment in late, he/she will accept responsibility for his/her lower grade and work harder in the future to turn assignments in on time.
Projects/Compositions:
10% of the total grade will be deducted for each day the assignment is late.
Homework:
NO LATE HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENTS WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR CREDIT. (unless due to an absence)
Tests/Quizzes:
If a student needs additional time to complete a test/quiz, he/she has 5 school days to finish on his/her own time (before/after school, extended learning). If a student fails to finish, the quiz/test will be graded and all unfinished work will be marked wrong.
Extra help:
Students are expected to advocate for themselves and seek help when it is needed by asking questions in class, talking privately with Sra. Craft, and/or staying for extra help during late night
